On October 22, the Gambia International Conference Center project, which was assisted by Jinfeng Mumen, successfully passed the completion acceptance of experts organized by the Ministry of Commerce and was awarded the "excellent" project for foreign aid.

The Gambia International Conference Center Project was started on August 30, 2017 and completed on October 15, 2019. The project is located in Banjul, the capital of Gambia, with a total construction area of 14000 square meters. The main functional space includes 1 main conference hall and rest room for 1000 people, 4 theme conference rooms for 200 people, 14 bilateral conference rooms, banquet hall, VIP banquet hall and 4 press release halls.

As the first bilateral cooperation project since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Gambia, the Gambia International Conference Center is a landmark project to strengthen infrastructure cooperation between China and Gambia and between China and Africa. It is also an important part of implementing the outcomes of the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, demonstrating the strong support of the Chinese government for Gambia to host the Islamic Summit. It is also a milestone in the deepening and development of bilateral cooperation, reflecting the "truth, reality, affinity and sincerity" China's policy concept and correct concept of justice and interests on Africa put forward by President Xi Jinping, and fully demonstrating China's determination to closely integrate its own development with the development of Gambia and Africa and achieve win-win cooperation and common development. As China's largest aid project to Okinawa, the conference center will enhance the image of Okinawa and become a new monument to the unbreakable relationship between the two great countries.

The Gambia International Conference Center project has a tight schedule and heavy tasks. In the face of difficulties, all staff of Jinfeng have always overcome difficulties and stuck to their posts with high political awareness and sense of responsibility, and finally successfully completed the foreign aid task.

Ma Jianchun, Chinese Ambassador to Gambia, Luo Wenjun, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy, and Wang Xingshun, Director of the Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, jointly inspected the on-site acceptance work. During the acceptance, the expert group held several special meetings with the construction technology group and the project management group, listened to the project completion acceptance report and the evaluation report of the management group, and affirmed the hard work of all parties involved in the project construction.
